Gratitude For The Attitude by Terri Rilea Approximately
155 words I
was working as a Custodian for the public school system. Some days I would
be asked at times to monitor a kid and give him or her light janitorial
duties to do. One day a couple of 6th graders had engaged in a food toss
during their lunch hour. They got caught. The Principal asked me to
monitor them as they each took a whisk broom and dust pan and on their
knee's they swept the lunchroom floor. Both boys worked very hard cleaning
up the floor. They'd giggle and downright belly laugh every so often. When
they were finished I thanked them for doing such a great job and commented
to them as to how much fun they seemed to be having, doing a job i know I
would of hated to do. One of the boys looked at me, smiled and said
"with the right attitude anything can be fun!" Smart kid!
