This
is a true story Mom told me years before she died.
Mom
was raised in southern Iowa on a farm and Mom’s sister was 5 years
younger than she was. Mom and her sister and parents were doing
something on the farm when her sister got hungry. She was old enough to
go back to the house by herself, so her mother told her to go to the
house to get something to eat. She made herself a peanut butter and
jelly sandwich. When she returned to where her parents were, her Mom
asked how her lunch was and what she ate. She told them but she said the
pepper
in the jelly was
a little hot.
It was homemade jelly.
There was no pepper. It was little black ants she ate !!!
